It doesn't concern me, but it's fashion.

I'm like so behind in the news since Obama was elected as President of the most powerful nation in the world like eons ago. On thursday I think to be exact. And it doesn't concern me at first but I remembered that some garments that were shown during fashion week were clearly supporting Obama. Like the Rodarte sisters for Sonia Rykiel during Spring/Summer 2009 and Jean Charles de Castelbajac way before that. Does that mean that fashion is always 1 step ahead of politics? It seems like that is the case. Is it appropriate? I don't know but it sure as hell is fashionable.
Imagine Michelle Obama wearing the yellow dress to one of the conferences? She most probably won't since it costs a bomb and nobody wants that kind of attention except for Sarah Palin. $150 000 worth of clothes for her whole family from Barneys New York and Saks Fifth Avenue. I guess Sarah Palin ain't your average hockey mum after all. But at least she looks hot - for a 40 something old woman. And, Michelle Obama may appear on the cover of VOGUE. Apparently, VOGUE needs that kind of a boost to help move the magazine off the stands. But it still kind of sad since there's so many fashion models out there that dying to be on the cover of VOGUE. Heck, even established models can't appear on American VOGUE since Anna Wintour prefers to have random celebrities on the cover.
-Reese Witherspoon for November 2008 issue (All-American Girl for Independence Day)
-Rachel Weisz for October 2008 issue (Mysterious, Beautiful Woman for Halloween)
-Sarah Jessica Parker for June 2008 issue (Sex and The City Promotion)
-Gwyneth Paltrow for May 2008 issue (Worst-Selling Issue)
-Nicole Kidman for July 2008 issue (Pregnancy Issue?)
As Barack Obama's Campaign Slogan : IT'S TIME FOR CHANGE.
