Activities As much as I wanted Pre-University Seminar before, it is definitely draining most of my energy nowadays. I wouldn't comment much, but it's just that there are unnecessary meetings that just clashes with cca and other programmes, and it is so frustrating when you have to be at 2 places at once. Whats more, when PW starts in second term, all hell would break lose. Anyhows, I'm so glad I'm in college publications, because at least I'm going to be building up a portfolio in order to gain entrance into NTU. So, my first report would actually be really soon, as in tomorrow, for the Olympica Parada! OMG, I am actually excited to start interviewing people. And yes, being in CP means that people have to be nice to the members, since the CP are the ones who manages the yearbook. Muahahaha. Oh, and not to forget, the photographers too. And after the Olympica Parada, was supposed to go to Sentosa with the whole Atlas House, but now, I'm not too sure about it. And then there's the roof-top concert managed by the CP again this thursday. It's so going to be happening man. Bands, singers, dancers, all products of Meridian. Tickets are $7, so better hurry. I'm 100% confident that the set-up of equipments won't take up like an hour like last year's performances by bands at NASS. And somehow, I just realised I'm swarmed with activities over the weekend. The Soiree decorations, the CP piece, maths assignment and yes, lunch/dinner treat by Yusri and Kak N. WooHoo! And I so want to get a place in the overseas trip to Cambridge for literature. It would definitely make up for my apparent lack of overseas experience with NASS. |

jc life part 1 Well, I'm sure you non-jc people are dying to know what life in jc is all about in the first 3 days. One word sums it all up: HECTIC. Wait, make that 2 words: HECTIC and TIRING. I didn't talk to anyone on the first day, since we were all so busy attending the lectures and stuff. Furthermore, couldn't really hold a real conversation since all the talks in the hall and in the lecture rooms seemed to be of great importance. Second day was pretty slacked. Knocked off at 12.15 instead of 2.30 since I skipped all the lectures. I know, first week already skip, but the thing is, it's all repeated lectures for those who missed them the previous day. Whats more, I've already chosen my subject combination, so no point in going to all the other lectures. I think today was the day where I opened up more to the people around me. I talked to more than 10 people who are not in Ngee Ann, so that's like WOW! Anyhows, CGs would be posted tomorrow, together with the house allocations, so hopefully, will be able to meet more people and interact with the people in my CG. Today was the mass dance practice, and of course, everyone danced along. I feel that people are getting more enthusiastic already. *kangaroo hop, egyptian dance, chicken to the side* That's an inside thingy, so sorry if you don't understand. Oooh, and 1 more thing, I'll either be joining the college publication, or the guitar ensemble(no experience required). And I want to be selected for the pre-university seminar in June at NUS! Sign me up man. I promise that Ill stay comitted and do MJC proud. God, that sounds desperate! Anyways, the next post will probably be at the end of the week since the real orientation starts tomorrow and of course, I'm anticipating it to be tiring. P.S, Phobos or Miranda please:) |
